Chocolate

My good friend Aimee Rousseau created a beautiful painting of the chocolate tree, and I did some meditations to accompany this painting as well as a few others. Enjoy the meditation, the video, and check out some of Aimee’s other work at healingpainting.com.

Dreaming Abundance

My good friend, Dr. Joe Vitale, visited over the weekend and we filmed a little video about Dreaming Abundance. Joe explains how the product works and how your conscious and unconscious minds work together… and how you can magically use that timeframe to manifest new ideas.

We also did a recording for Joe’s Miracles Weekend, at which I’ll be speaking. I hope to see you there! Joe’s got an amazing lineup of great speakers with whom I feel privileged to be on the panel with.

You can see that video on The Miracles Weekend web site.

Joe Vitale and the Excitement of Giving

At least once a month, my friend Joe Vitale and I get together to exchange money from a number of joint ventures.

Usually, the checks Joe gives me are usually bigger than the ones I give him. Except last month. The check I gave him was much larger, and next month I will give him another large check.

It feels good to give Joe big checks.

I had several things along with the check to give Joe. One of them was a box of 30 brand new DVDs from our Dreaming Abundance product, which is selling like crazy.

Why did I bring Joe 30 of them? Because I know he will be giving DVD’s away as gifts to his business partners, family members, and friends. He will also give some away to people he doesn’t even know. That is who Joe Vitale is: he is a giver.

I gave him a few more things which he gratefully accepted, and then, like a little kid, he told me to sit down so he could give me a box of gifts.

The not-small box was loaded with books. (Of course!)

Two of the books were signed to me and Kathy from Mandy Evans. Mandy is a wonderful person who gives from deep in her heart and has wonderful ways of helping people change beliefs. Joe recently introduced Kathy and me to Mandy, and we are grateful to have such a wonderful new friend in our lives.

Another book was by written by one of our favorite marketers, Dan Kennedy. The other gift in this book was that Joe got to write the forward to one of his heroes. Why is this a gift to me? Because I get to share in the excitement of one of my friends doing something that means so much to him.

Next up was eight personally signed books from legendary author Luke Rhineheart.
Luke is the author of The Book of est, which is on both of our top 5 books that have changed our lives. Luke is also the author of the classic Dice Men. I didn’t get just one book… Joe got me all of Luke’s books. Now that is thinking big!

Next up was perfect for what I needed that day. I had been feeling a bit under the weather that day with a bit of a sore throat. My favorite relief for it was to rub some Young Living essential oils on my feet (Thieves). But I had not had any for months. Joe reaches into the box and pulls out some new thieves cough drops. How cool is that! Then he pulls out another gift… a big bottle of Thieves essential oil, followed by another big bottle, and then a tube of the new Thieves toothpaste.

I started to wonder about my breath here with both the cough drops and toothpaste. :-)

Joe had remembered me saying a while back that I was out and how much I loved Thieves.

He also gave me the newest issue of the Australian magazine Succeed on which Joe’s big welcoming smile was on the cover.

There were other things that Joe told me about that is incredible news about things I will let him share with you.

After the mini-Christmas at Joe’s house, we went to Cedar Grove Steakhouse and had another wonderful meal.

While there, Bruce Collie, the owner and two-time superbowl champion came over to thank Joe for the increase in business. You see, Joe took it upon himself to help Bruce increase his business. Joe, in his own time, created a flyer for Bruce using the marketing principles that Joe teaches.

It worked so well that the place has been packed ever since. As a matter of fact, one of the waiters we know well, Josh, told us he has never seen business so good.

Another gentleman and his wife who happened to be passing by and had stopped at Cedar Grave Restaurant sat next to us. At the end of the dinner he meekly came over to the table and said to Joe, “I know who you are! Can I please have your autograph.”

Joe stoppped and asked where they were from and talked to him for a bit then the man handed Joe a take out menu from Cedar Grove and had Joe sign where the steak named The Vitale (an amazing steak like none you’ve ever tasted) on the menu was located.

This is fun.

And this is a huge lesson about how a man who believes “The More I Give, the more I get” operates in his life. What he gives isn’t just about things and what he gets isn’t all about things. There is so much more there.

I see Joe investing in this principle all the time. He does it non-stop.

And I see what he gets back.

Joe makes these principles fun. When you’re with Joe, you feel the excitement of Christmas morning, the excitement of a birthday from long ago.

This attitude of giving and excitement makes people want to join in and be a part of the giving… and receiving.

Why did I bring up all the names of books and authors and products in this blog? Because they contribute to my life. I get joy and pleasure from them and maybe you can as well. And if not, I am giving credit to those things that bring increase in my life. Most of all I acknowledge someone who has brought me so much.,

My friend & spiritual brother, Joe Vitale.

Thanks Joe!

With Love,

Mark

Dreaming Abundance

I’ve partnered with two of my favorite people, Joe Vitale and John Overdurf, to create an amazing new product that taps your dream state to manifest abundance… Dreaming Abundance.

So many times, people think of wealth and abundance as simply their checkbook balance. So they concentrate on increasing that magic number, and it works. But then other areas of their life begin to suffer.

Here is a secret… if you don’t add abundance to other areas of your life, those other areas almost act like a bucket with a hole in it.

Imagine have a bucket full of money… with six big holes where it is all falling out.

The Dreaming Abundance product fixes this. First, when we attract abundance in the six other areas besides money, the holes in the bucket fill up instead of leaking.

When you do this, something amazing happens. When all different areas of your life work together in harmony to attract abundance, your bucket changes into a different kind of container.

You change.

Something in you begins to be able to hold more wealth and abundance.

It is as if are attracting so much wealth and abundance into your life, the universe gives you a bigger and better container to hold all you are receiving. When you can hold more, you can give more… and this creates a cycle of greater and greater abundance in your life.

Go check it out.

We’re taking pre-orders right now, but you’ll get immediate downloads to get you started. The final product will ship by July 7th.

Crossing the Line that WILL Change You

I was going through different blogs I subscribe to, and I found one that I knew was going to be dangerous for me… and at the same time good for me. It is weird how I have a sense of these things that seem to get more and more accurate as I get older and less sure of most things.

I was on Michael Fortin’s Blog and came across a comment that was interesting, so I went to the commenter’s (David Burch) blog.

I went down a few posts and found the blog entry that I knew would affect me before I even watched it.

Please take a look at this before going on with this post as I am going to build to a point which will require what this video gives you.

Then I watched part 1 and then part 3 in that order. It had the effect I had anticipated; it was profound.

What had opened with these young adults was something in the middle of their chests: their hearts.

Something that was closed was now open. Something in that same area that was closed in me also opened.

What is that fear we all have of that magical place opening?

Well, all of them told us.

They all went to a place of commonality, a place of hurt, a place of personal pain, a place opened equally very fast for all of them.

This place within htem was opened so fast that all of the adults were affected as well. This place of common grief was so powerful that being in proximity gave permission to that hurt place in everyone to come out. It was now safe to come out, and whether these people wanted their personal hurt exposed — consciously or not — something more powerful within them was not letting this opportunity go by.

The deeper parts of ourselves have been waiting to be allowed to show this so called “weak” part of ourselves out in public. Yet we see and feel how powerful this part of ourselves is… it can change us at a fundamental level, and it can change those around us as well. It is as though we desire to share this hurt with others without one person getting to claim more hurt than another.

There was an acknowledgment that each others’ pain was equally painful. It is a place of equality, a leveling of the field, that can change us all.

I started to consider what keeps us acting in ways that keeps others from being able to go to this place.

What keeps me from acting in ways that keeps others from going there? What keeps YOU from acting in ways to keep others from going there?

I started to realize: it is because we think we are the only ones who feel this way and we are afraid to expose our perceived personal weaknesses from the ridicule of others.

Notice how many in the video used ridicule of others as a defense mechanism to their own pain.

In the USA there a only a few places we are allowed to be this open with our pain: funerals and hospitals. If you do it too deeply outside of these contexts, you may be on the receiving end of the ridicule we all fear. So we keep it to ourselves, and everyone suffers. Maybe we even pretend we don’t feel this or empathize with this deep within our souls.

I loved this video, and I loved how this team of young adults defended their newfound open selves instead of reverting back to defending their old, ridiculing fearful selves.

This is how true change occurs. It is a process. It is about accessing these deep resource states within.

And, thankfully, it can be taught.

When I do coaching with people, this is the depth where I work with people.

When Joe Vitale and I did the Attract Wealth Seminar, this is the level of process where we helped people achieve such fabulous results.

When Jerry Stocking and I do the seminar outside of Austin in less than two weeks, we will be offering you a change so deep that you will begin to really start to understand the true wealth you have and how much more of life you will attract.

Jerry is an expert with over 26 years of experience in doing this, and has recently discovered some new approaches that will change the world.

We have a very small number of seats left.

If you feel like you want to open to be all that you can be, if you feel that you want to open to all the wealth that is yours, please come and spend a couple of days with us. Discover this new you that has been there all along and waiting to fully explore this life.

Cross that line with us — together — as an individual and as a team.

We promise you no less than spectacular results in 48 hours.

See you there.

Spiritual Currency

Kathy, my girlfriend, has a 7-year-old son, Max. Max loves to play with coins, even much more than paper money.

To Max, the sound and look — and maybe taste — of coins are much more valuable in his world than paper money. In fact, he values the penny the most. Maybe because it is different in color than the silver coins.

My favorite denomination is the $100 bill. I am sure it would be even a higher denomination if that was more practical. My value comes not from the distinctions of color or name or taste… it comes from what I can buy with it. Really, it comes from what I perceive I can buy with it.

Sometimes I have fun with Max’s naivety. Knowing what I know about the social value of money and Max’s value of money, I can bring him a box full of pennies and ask him to trade his box full of quarters. He lights up with a big smile and says “OK” and we trade (for awhile at least). Kathy looks at me and laughs because I think I am getting as much of a deal as Max does. In his reality, he is making out better than I am. There is something magical about touching that level of childhood trading logic.

I can also trade two green colored pieces of paper money for one piece of Max’s money. It is fun for me to convince him that two pieces of paper with a 5 and a 1 on them is worth one of his pieces with a 20 on it.

Max smiles. So do I.

Kathy shakes her head.

While this example shows different levels of values, it also shows in a simplistic way how we as human being are duped into accepting currency that is worth way less than what we give for it.

There is a currency of the spirit and we know the currency of man is money. The currency of spirit is Love. Joy. Peace. Compassion. Forgiveness. Understanding. Compassion. The most valuable is love.

What else besides money do you value more than love?

You may say nothing in your belief systems. But in your behavior or words, it is in full swing.

We don’t want to want to admit that we stubbornly don’t want to forgive on the inside. But we will tell that person we have forgiven them when we really have not. We don’t want to admit out loud we have a prejudice and then condemn those who say out loud what you feel on the inside.

What we really do and what we say we do are two different things.

We say we deal in Spiritual Currency. We say we value a quarter more than a penny, but we then hoard our pennies. We say we know the value of a $100 bill, and we go quietly into our closet and count the pennies.

What I say to you next I say to myself and have for years as I work through my own hypocrisies.

I have heard so many people tell me in coaching or therapy or personal conversations, that they want to make more money and enjoy life more and that they have tried everything.

I spend a few minutes with them. With all the training and skills and intuition I have developed over 20+ years working with hundreds of people, I am quickly able to identify one thing that can transform their entire lives. I identify that one penny. The penny that if they give it up or let go of will change their life and give them what they want.

If they give up this one penny or exchange it, it will open up the floodgates to their abundance.

Will they trade it in, or up? Sometimes. If they are lucky.

Most of the time they will defend their penny and status quo, and then tell me, but I really do want it. It’s an amazing quandary.

It reminds me of the How to catch a monkey story.

Why do we hold on to the penny? We hold on to that penny so tightly because we don’t know or have not personally experienced the equal value of a quarter or a $100 bill in Spiritual Currency.

We claim to know it, but do we really?

How do you get a dog to let go of a Bone? You throw it a piece of meat!

If you have really tasted the meat (sorry to all my vegetarian friends; Think tofu.), you will drop the bone. If you have not tasted the meat, you might say, “This bone tastes better, and I am keeping it.” You keep it only because you really don’t know.

What I want to help you do is experience the treat, and then teach you how to continue to get there on your own.

Why? Because when you start to do this in many areas of your life, when you start to trade in your pennies for $100 bills, you get more for the same amount of effort…maybe even less. It is the first trade that is the most difficult.

The work I do in partnership with people like Joe Vitale, Jerry Stocking, John Overdurf, John Burton is all about giving up your pennies in exchange for abundance in all areas of your life. The more areas you open up, the more wealth will come your way as well.

Wouldn’t it be a shame if you died with your wealth still in you?

So how can you do more of this?

Here is one of the ways. I am doing a seminar at my house outside of Austin, TX in a few weeks.

I have invited Jerry Stocking, a good friend and spiritual teacher of mine, to come answer some questions and teach some of the amazing new information he has developed since the Attract Wealth Seminar.

I have never met anyone who can do what Jerry does with the speed and power that he does it with.

In two days, we will teach you how to notice patterns in yourself that when they begin to loosen up will absolutely change you.

Imagine if you had a river running through your property and a beaver had dammed up the flow just above your property. You end up getting very little water… the water that was supposed to be yours. Now you could spend a lot of time and take it apart a little at a time. Or you might hire an expert that can come in and look at the damn and figure out that if you were to remove one log the rest would fall apart as a result. You would get your well-deserved water, and you could do it right now.

Jerry is a master at not only identifying that one log, he is a Master at helping to remove it.

This is an intimate gathering of only 10 people. There are only a few spots left for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Most of Jerry’s seminars have many more people, so this is a rare opportunity to get a lot of up close and personalized value if you are really serious about an vastly accelerated learning curve.

Come Play with Jerry and Me

A couple of weeks ago, I asked Jerry if I could film him explaining and composing exercises to ground people in the basics of his work. Jerry agreed, but said if he was going to do it, he’d need an audience to work with.

As such, we organized A Weekend with Jerry Stocking, taking place on June 28-29, 2008 in Dripping Springs, Texas. We wanted this event to be intimate and comfortable, so we’ve limited it to only 10 people.

Usually, a seminar with Jerry like this would cost $1,000 or upwards, but Jerry is offering it for $500.

A couple of weeks ago, I asked Jerry if I could film him explaining and composing exercises to ground people in the basics of his work. Jerry agreed, but said if he was going to do it, he’d like an audience to work with.

You will have loads of opportunities to ask questions and to interact with Jerry and me in a teaching setting where you learn and play. And then you learn some more and dance… and you will discover much deeper parts of yourself both intellectually and behaviorally.

This weekend will be tailored specifically and personally for you and will be captured on video for all the people less fortunate than you who can’t be there.

Jerry has been leading seminars for twenty-six years. Never before has he agreed to make many of his secrets and shortcuts overtly available… but he will this weekend.

Join us!

Cognitive Surplus, Clay Shirky & Jerry Stocking

While a vast majority of people at the Attract Wealth Seminar liked Jerry Stocking, there were a few that didn’t. As with most things in life, there are always people who will dislike people you think are amazing.

We’ll get back to this in a bit.

Clay Shirky and Cognitive Surplus
So i am watching this fascinating character named Clay Shirky (NYU) at a web 2.0 conference in San Francisco. My fiance, Kathy, sent me a link to a video of him speaking.

As I watch Clay speak, I start to understand why I have spent so many hours studying the work of Jerry Stocking. Stick with me here, and I think you will learn something very interesting about people… and yourself in particular.

Clay discusses how people deal with big transformations. The first big transformation he talks about is the industrial revolution. How did people handle this? Gin. Yes, gin… the Beefeaters and Tangaray kind of gin you drink. Clay says there used to be little gin carts that were pushed on the streets of London, providing easy access to the libation that soothed the uncertainty of the times.

He said that society would basically and collectively drink itself into a stupor in order to cope with the massive change. It wasn’t until society woke up from this collective stupor that we ended up getting the institutions of the industrial revolution, institutions such as public libraries, museums, public education, etc.

Clay’s theory, a theory I agree with, is that until people stopped looking at change as a crisis and started looking at it as a asset, it was too stressful for them to handle. When people started to look at massive change as an asset, an asset they could design for instead of dissipate using Gin, we started to get the benefits of industrial society.

Another massive change after World War II created another method of dissipating massive change: Television. Because of the 5-day work week, there was now an abundance of time. Clay calls this Cognitive Surplus. This cognitive surplus, or excess thinking time, created its own stress on society as a whole.

How did we cope? This time, we used television.

And we’ve been in this stupor for 50 years… a full generation.

We’re beginning to see this change now. We’re starting to see the benefit of cognitive surplus, this extra thinking time, and we’re starting to understand that we can do something with it… or as Clay says, “Design for.” Shows such as Desperate Housewives have acted like a cognitive heat sync, dissipating societal thinking from overheating because of all of this extra mental time. Television has acted as a valve on a pressure cooker.

Clay says we are now waking up from a cognitive hangover, and we’re starting to act as if this extra time is an asset as opposed to a crisis. Things are starting to be designed to take advantage of this surplus of mental time instead of dissipating it.

Americans are waking up from the 200 billion hours of television we watch a year and finding that we have cognitive surplus.

He says it is time for Americans to wake up from the 200 billion hours of TV we watch a year, finding useful ways of using the 100 million hours we spent watch just the TV ads last weekend. He recommends what is called an “Architecture of Participation.”

Jerry Stocking’s Architecture
Jerry Stocking has been producing incredible Architecture of Participation in the nine years I’ve studied with him. If you can see beyond his personality, whether you like Jerry or not, and experience his architecture, you’ll understand why his work is so important for humanity as a whole. I believe Jerry is a modern Einstein, Edison, or Tesla… a person on earth to show us useful things we can do with this surplus of cognitive energy.

It’s not just Jerry.

Something happened to me from studying and applying his Architecture of Participation. People say things to me that sound like what I’ve said to Jerry for years. I have to tell you it feels odd to accept this, but at the same time, I know it means that the architecture is transferable.

It means you can learn it, too.

But before you learn it and use it, you have to be able to see it. Jerry will go for deep levels inside of you to wake you up from your stupor. He will challenge your cognitive comfort zone. You might weep, you might yell, you might laugh… but you will be moved to wake up from where you’ve been.

Whether you decide to continue your awakening or if you decide to put up defenses to your own growth is completely up to you. But one fact is undeniable: when you come into contact with Jerry Stocking, something deep will move within you.

Jerry uses the analogy of that he feels like a submarine in the yacht club. He means that all of the yachts are aware of what is showing above the water, however, they are completely oblivious to what is happening under the surface. If Jerry, or the submarine, bumps into the yacht underwater, it will appear on the surface like something uncontrollable has happened. Because they have no idea what has really happened below the surface, they have to assign their experience to something beyond their experience. The actual experience, however, is happening because of movement far deeper than they can detect.

Jerry, and the work he does, moves people to a place of deeper, ancient and new, Architecture of Participation. He is putting us in touch with a Spiritual Architecture that is useful for us. This architecture just may save the planet… at the very least, it will make it more tolerable for those that are here now and those who will come after us.

I am not saying this is perfect. It is, however, the best we have so far that I have experienced. I am open to other ways and have experimented with other ways, but nothing has even come close to the transformations I have experienced with Jerry. I never dreamed my life would be this exciting, and I am barely scratching the surface of Jerry’s work after 9 years.

How cool is that!

If you are looking for a new business to be in, then I would recommend that you tap into this new cognitive surplus in whatever way you can. It is going to be so big and the most creative will not only change the world, they will become very wealthy in the process. It is a huge opportunity.

I have not seen Jerry bump someone with his architecture who did not get upset. It is a threat to the status quo in someone. it is the end to their stupor, and nobody likes being shaken out of a deep sleep of their beliefs, patterns, and defenses.

But as you awaken to the wonderful world underneath the surface, you mind getting bumped less and less.
